Over a decade ago, Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro announced his intentions to adapt H.P. Lovecraft’s horror novella At the Mountains of Madness for Universal Pictures with James Cameron producing. This was on July 28, 2010, with many hoping that the project would come to fruition. Unfortunately, that never happened, as in the following years, the production was stuck in development hell with no concrete details revealed. That’s about to change as del Toro has finally opened up about the production, revealing if there’s still hope —or not.
