A small plane crashed Thursday evening on Clark Road in Bath Township, Clinton County, between Peacock and Upton Roads, according to Michigan State Police. The crash occurred around 5 PM, and up to three fatalities are feared at the scene, with the aircraft blocking all lanes of traffic.Multiple agencies responded to the scene, and officers quickly established a large perimeter in the area of Clark Road and Upton Road, closing off surrounding roads to traffic. A significant police presence was observed, including a helicopter circling overhead. Fire engines and at least one ambulance were also on-site as emergency crews worked the scene.Plumes of smoke were visible as first responders from Bath Township Fire and Police, along with Michigan State Police, rushed to the crash site. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims or the cause of the crash.
