Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Friday announced that he will personally be available at the historic Kotwal House in Purani Haveli every Friday to meet residents of the older parts of the city and address their grievances directly.
During his visit to the heritage building on Friday, Sajjanar interacted with citizens and complainants, issued spot directions to officials, and reiterated his commitment to strengthening community policing and ensuring swift addressing of public concerns.
“The aim is to build closer ties with the community and make policing more accessible,” Sajjanar said, urging citizens to freely approach the police and cooperate in maintaining peace and order.
He described Kotwal House, which served as the city police headquarters from 1920 to 2002, as an integral part of Hyderabad’s policing legacy, appreciating its restoration and preservation.
Senior police officials from the South Zone were also present.
