Brooklyn Shooting: Three Injured After Shots Fired At 760 Broadway Outside NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull

Three people, including two teenagers, were injured after gunfire erupted outside NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull in Brooklyn on Friday afternoon, authorities said. Police said shots rang out near the hospital, at the corner of Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Broadway in Bedford-Stuyvesant, just after 3:30 PM on October 24. The scene is only steps away from the hospital’s main entrance.Officers from the 79th Precinct responded after a 911 call reported a man shot at the location. When they arrived, police found a 33-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left thigh. Emergency medical services rushed him to nearby Woodhull Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to the NYPD.Moments later, police learned that two additional victims, both teenagers, had walked into the hospital seeking treatment. Investigators said a 15-year-old girl sustained a graze wound to her right foot, while a 16-year-old boy was shot in the left side of his hip. Both teens were admitted and are also in stable condition, law enforcement sources said. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and it is not yet clear whether the victims were deliberately targeted.The intersection of Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Broadway remained cordoned off for hours as officers collected shell casings and reviewed surveillance footage.
