Inspired by Megastar Chiranjeevi’s spirit of service, his fans in Seattle, USA, have been quietly changing lives back home in India. Since 2018, this dedicated group has been organizing free eye camps across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, giving thousands the precious gift of sight.
Every October, during Microsoft’s Give Program, these fans raise funds for a noble cause. What makes this initiative even more impactful is that the Bill Gates Foundation matches every dollar donated by Microsoft employees. The collected funds are then channeled to the Manjari Sankuratri Memorial Foundation (MSMF) in the USA and Srikiran Eye Institute in Kakinada, led by Padma Shri Dr. Chandrasekhar Sankuratri.
Through these efforts, 34 free eye camps have been held so far, providing 2,187 successful eye surgeries — including 237 operations completed in 2025 alone. The initiative is led by Sriram Sunkari, with strong support from Praveen Uppuluri, Janardhan Chakka, Madhu Babu Mallidi, Soma Jagadish, Vinod Parna, Madan Gummineni, and Ram Uggirala. Companies like Devi Realty and Remit2Any have also come forward as sponsors.
Even while living thousands of miles away, these Seattle-based Chiranjeevi fans have shown that true devotion isn’t just about admiration — it’s about action. Their compassion continues to brighten countless lives, turning fandom into a force of kindness and giving new meaning to the word “service.”
