Animal abuse is something that not a lot of people will tolerate and rightly so. Dogs, cats and other critters of various shapes and sizes are innocent creatures so seeing someone treat them cruelly can often bring out strong emotions in people with compassion.
One woman on TikTok went a step further by physically confronting a man whom she witnessed abusing his dog. The account, “vigilantenikov,” which seems to have been created solely for the purpose of exposing the alleged dog beater posted the clip which quickly garnered over 5 million views.
In the video we can hear the woman recording yelling down at a man walking his dog. She repeats a threat that we can only assume he told her before she started recording, “you can’t wait to run into me in the elevator because I’m getting beaten?” she asks. At which point it seems like the woman took that as a challenge, running down six flights of stairs in order to catch the man waiting for the elevator. By the scared look on his face it’s clear he was not expecting to see the woman show up in person.

Don’t hit your fucking dog like that!!!” He tells me to stfu, mind my own business, he will do what he wants, calls me a k0k sucking wh0r3, and then says I better hope he doesn’t catch me in the building or the elevator or else he’ll beat me too. I said oh ya????????? I’m not scared of you buddy. He says we’ll come down then. I SAID OKAY WAIT THERE FOR ME. So I grab my stuff, lock my door, run down 6 flights of stairs only to find this giant dog beating weakling of a human being already finger blasting the elevator button to try and get away from me. Yes the police and animal have been contacted but they are busy so no response yet. TikTok do your thing and let’s expose this dog beater!!! If he was so comfortable abusing his dog in plain daylight right outside of a 12 story high apartment building, imagine what he does behind closed doors. #dogbeater #animalabuse

Luckily the man does not try to physically attack like he supposedly threatened to do so before but he does throw multiple verbal expletives at the woman as he tells her to mind her own business.
TikTok doesn’t recommend doing this
While the woman received plenty of comments praising her for strong urge to protect an innocent animal, many viewers disagreed with her putting herself in harm’s way in such a manner. Men can be pretty threatening, and she’s sharing an apartment block with him. Considering the man apparently threatened her with physical violence beforehand it’s probably ill-advised to then seek him out for a confrontation.
“This was so dangerous to do,” wrote one viewer. Another recommended that the woman contact the animal welfare center in Ontario where her apartment building is located.
Contacting animal welfare and even the police is probably the best thing to do if ever faced with such a situation. But the woman didn’t stop there. In the following days she would provide updates on the situation, informing viewers that she had indeed been in touch with the police but she had not been contacted by them since. In the meantime she’s been busy trying to get that dog away from its owner by any means necessary.
Through a little bit of sleuthing the woman was also able to find out where the guy works. In another video we hear audio of one of his co-workers defend the guy and also joke about beating dogs, he even tells the caller, “if you’re a leftist we’ll beat your dog for free.”
Since then there have been few updates but it seems like many on TikTok are trying to hold this man accountable, even if they don’t agree with the original poster putting herself in danger the way she did.
