Champion & The Gamble Of 47 Crore!

Roshan Meka and Anaswara Rajan’s Champion is releasing on December 25th as Christmas Special. There are half a dozen releases for Christmas this year but a very impressive trailer puts Champion ahead of them.
The movie has a very impressive lead pair, beautiful music, exciting Period Backdrop, and a lavish production – basically it has everything what people today call as a Perfect Theatrical Outing.
Swapna Cinemas is bankrolling Champion. The Landing Cost of the movie is arriving at a whopping 46-47 Crore which is a very huge amount for a relatively newcomer.
But then, the makers are confident of the subject. Swapna Cinemas has a very impressive Filmography with films like Jathi Ratnalu, Yevade Subrahmanyam, Mahanati, and Sita Ramam.
Their credibility helped a superb non-theatrical business and will obviously bring in footfalls to the theaters, the makers are confident.
The Trade, however, feels this is a big gamble by Swapna Cinemas but they can not say it loud because of their track record.
