Meher Ramesh Urges Marathi Audience in Hyderabad to Support ‘Magic’

Celebrated filmmaker Meher Ramesh has called upon the Marathi-speaking audience in Hyderabad to watch and support the upcoming Marathi psychological thriller Magic, which is gearing up for a theatrical release on January 1. The appeal was made during a media interaction held in Hyderabad, where the film’s team came together to promote the movie and share their confidence in its strong content.
Produced by Raju Satyam under the TwoThree Ventures banner, Magic stars noted actor Jitendra Joshi and is directed by Ravindra Vijay Karmarkar. The promotional event was attended by Maharashtra Mandal President Geeta, MLC Arun Kumar, and other dignitaries, adding weight to the film’s Hyderabad launch.

Speaking at the event, Meher Ramesh recalled his long association with producer Raju Satyam, tracing their friendship back to Veera Kannadiga, which starred late Puneeth Rajkumar. He said the Magic trailer impressed him with its gripping narrative and praised Raju Satyam’s journey from actor to passionate producer. Meher Ramesh also noted that several prominent Bollywood personalities have extended their support to the film and urged Marathi audiences in Hyderabad to watch the movie on the big screen and make it a success.

Maharashtra Mandal President Geeta said the teaser and trailer clearly indicate that Magic offers a unique cinematic experience, adding that the film deserves to be watched by a wider audience, preferably with Telugu subtitles. MLC Arun Kumar highlighted the strong legacy of Marathi cinema in Indian filmmaking and revealed that Magic has already won nine international awards even before its release, calling it a quality psychological thriller that deserves pan-Indian recognition.

Actor Arvind also extended his best wishes, describing Magic as a content-driven film rooted in realism, a trait often associated with Marathi cinema. He particularly praised Jitendra Joshi’s acting and encouraged audiences to watch the film when it releases on January 1.

Producer Raju Satyam shared that Hyderabad has a significant Marathi population and that, with local support, the film is being released in the city. He said he was instantly drawn to Ravindra Vijay Karmarkar’s story and decided to make it as an independent Marathi film despite considering other language options. He expressed strong confidence in Jitendra Joshi’s performance, predicting a bright future for the actor on the Indian cinema stage.

Jitendra Joshi, addressing the media, spoke warmly about the influence of Telugu cinema on Indian films and praised Telugu filmmakers for elevating Tollywood’s stature nationally. He described Magic as a film that will connect with audiences across languages and regions, crediting its strong writing and complex characterisation. Joshi also revealed that leading Bollywood figures such as Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Boney Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh came forward to support the film out of respect for producer Raju Satyam. He concluded by saying that artists receive love beyond language and geography and expressed hope that Hyderabad audiences would wholeheartedly support Magic when it hits theatres on January 1.
