Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios, the film is directed by debutant Maari. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead, while Mickey J. Meyer has composed the music. At the pre-release press meet, Naveen Polishetty described Anaganaga Oka Raju as a film that captures the true spirit of Sankranthi. He said the festival is a time when people forget their worries, come together with loved ones, enjoy good food and laugh freely, and added that the movie is designed to deliver the same feeling. Naveen revealed that the response to the trailer has doubled the team’s confidence, with dialogues and jokes going viral on social media. He also noted that overseas pre-sales have already crossed the opening numbers of his previous films, indicating strong audience interest.
Meenakshi Chaudhary said the entire team worked very hard to bring out a joyful film and expressed confidence that audiences would enjoy laughing throughout the movie. She encouraged families to watch the film together and celebrate Sankranthi with happiness.
Director Maari called the film a clean and wholesome festival entertainer, saying Sankranthi is an emotion for Telugu people and that releasing the film during the festival feels special. Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi revealed that the story is set against a picturesque Godavari backdrop and carries Naveen Polishetty’s signature humour. He added that the film includes a rural political satire episode, along with strong emotions toward the climax. According to him, Anaganaga Oka Raju blends comedy, emotion, action and songs, making it a true festival package.
Child actor Revanth, who appears in both halves of the film, thanked the team for the opportunity and said audiences would laugh a lot while watching the movie. He urged viewers to visit theatres on January 14.
