The much-talked-about combination of Prabhas and director Sukumar may not happen in the near future, according to sources close to the filmmaker. While fans have been eagerly waiting to see these two powerhouses come together, the project appears to be on hold for now due to Sukumar’s packed schedule.
Sources reveal that Sukumar is currently fully occupied with Ram Charan’s much-awaited film, tentatively titled RC17. Once that project is completed, the director is expected to move on to Pushpa 3, for which the storyline has already been locked.
Insiders confirm that this phase alone could take nearly three more years to complete.
At present, there have been no official meetings between Prabhas and Sukumar regarding any collaboration. Though both have reportedly expressed interest in working together, their discussions have only happened casually during informal interactions. No script narration, scheduling, or project planning has taken place so far.
This update may come as a disappointment to fans who were hoping for an announcement soon, especially after the massive success of the Pushpa franchise and Prabhas’ strong pan-India market. However, with both stars committed to multiple big projects, a collaboration—if it happens—will likely take considerable time.
For now, the Prabhas–Sukumar combo remains a possibility for the future, but not something audiences can expect anytime soon. Fans will have to wait patiently for official confirmation.
