The makers of the upcoming Telugu film Purushaha have unveiled the second single, Chaatu Chaatu, at a special event held with students at Kasturba Gandhi Degree and PG College for Women, creating fresh buzz around the film. The soulful melody has quickly caught attention online for its tender emotions and relatable take on young love, adding to the growing curiosity around this slice-of-life entertainer.
Purushaha presents everyday married life with humour and honesty, aiming to strike a chord with audiences through rooted storytelling and light-hearted moments. The film is backed by Battula Saraswathi and produced by Battula Koteswara Rao under the Kalyan Productions banner. It introduces Pavan Kalyan Battula as the lead actor, with direction by Veeru Vulavala. The promotional campaign has stood out for its youthful and offbeat approach, helping the film gain traction among younger audiences.
Chaatu Chaatu captures the quiet emotions of a college girl who falls in love but chooses to admire her beloved from a distance, unable to gather the courage to express her feelings. The song reflects the sweetness of unspoken love and the gentle ache of holding emotions within. Lyricist Ananta Sriram pens the emotions with simplicity and depth, making the song instantly relatable to students and young listeners.
Music director Sravan Bharadwaj gives the track a classic, soulful feel with rich instrumentation that enhances its emotional impact. Chinmayi Sripaada’s soothing vocals bring warmth and grace to the melody, making the song linger long after it ends. On screen, Rayancha Kokkuri delivers a natural performance, while Pavan Kalyan Battula impresses with the restrained and dignified portrayal his character demands. Released around Valentine’s Day, the song is being seen as a timely addition to romantic playlists and is already finding its way into trending music charts.
The film had earlier created strong buzz with its first single Jaali Padedevvadu, sung by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, which emerged as a chartbuster. With two well-received songs now out, Purushaha is steadily building positive momentum ahead of its theatrical release.
The technical team includes Satish Muthyala as cinematographer, Sravan Bharadwaj as music director, Koti as editor and Ravibabu Dondapati as art director. Post-production work is currently in progress, and the makers are expected to announce the release date soon. The ensemble cast features Pavan Kalyan Battula, Saptagiri, Kasireddy Rajkumar, Rayancha Kokkuri, Vishika, Hasini Sudheer, Sri Sandhya, Gabi Rock, Anaira Gupta, Vennela Kishore, Rajeev Kanakala, Pammi Sai, VTV Ganesh and others.
