What Next Buchi Babu?

Buchi Babu Sana, a protege of top director Sukumar has made his directorial debut with Uppena which was a sensational hit. He bagged an opportunity to direct Ram Charan in his second film and Peddi is now the most awaited Telugu film of 2026. The film is slated for April 30th release across the globe and the shoot of the film reached the final stages. Buchi Babu is following the footsteps of his mentor Sukumar for every film. He is working under the guidance of Sukumar.
For now, he hasn’t finalized any new film and is waiting for the release of Peddi. Buchi Babu has a couple of scripts ready and he will work for Mythri Movie Makers or Vriddhi Cinemas after Peddi. It all depends on the dates of the lead actors he approaches. With all the top actors occupied with a number of films, Buchi Babu will have to wait for a longer time to finalize the lead actor for his next. Else, if he is ready to work with a young actor, he will have a chance to start his next film in 2027.
Sukumar Writings will co-produce the next film of Buchi Babu. For now, the talented director is focused on Peddi and he hasn’t started work on his next project. He is keen to take a break after the release of Peddi and then kick-start the work on his third film.
