The Kerala Story 2, directed by Sudipto Sen, is set for theatrical release on February 27, 2026. The film has drawn controversy ahead of release, with petitions filed in the Kerala High Court alleging that it portrays the state in a negative light and misrepresents certain facts.
While hearing the pleas, the High Court directed the makers to arrange a special screening on February 25, 2026, so that the judges can view the film before passing further orders. The bench said it would examine the content instead of issuing an immediate stay.
Although the film has reportedly received certification, the court noted that public concerns cannot be ignored. With the screening scheduled just two days before release, the final decision on its theatrical run now depends on the court’s assessment.
Whether the film proceeds as planned or faces further directions will become clear after the judges deliver their order. The post The Kerala Story 2 Controversy: “Arrange Screening Tomorrow,” Says Kerala High Court first appeared on Latest Telugu cinema news | Movie reviews | OTT Updates, OTT.
