The release of Rocking Star Yash’s much-awaited action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups has been postponed to June 4, 2026, due to rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The makers officially announced the change in release plans on Wednesday, stating that the decision was taken after carefully assessing the evolving situation in the Gulf region, which is considered a major market for the film’s global theatrical rollout.
Originally scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026, the film was gearing up for an aggressive promotional campaign. However, production houses KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations decided to reschedule the release following advice from one of their major international distribution partners, Phars Films. The Gulf region plays a significant role in overseas collections for Indian films, and the current instability in the Middle East has reportedly disrupted cinema operations across several countries in the region.
According to the makers, the decision was not easy as the team had already finalized the promotional schedule for the film’s earlier release date. A grand trailer launch event was planned for March 8 in Bengaluru with media representatives from across India. Additionally, the film’s first single titled “Tabaahi” was ready for release on March 2. Despite everything being in place, the team chose to pause the promotional activities in light of the situation.
In an official statement, the producers said Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups was conceived as a global cinematic experience aimed at audiences across the world. The film has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with the intention of reaching both domestic and international viewers. They mentioned that after years of effort and planning, the team was excited to present the film on March 19, but the ongoing uncertainty in the Middle East created challenges in achieving their goal of a wide global release.
The makers added that rescheduling the film was a carefully considered decision taken in the interest of their distribution partners and audiences worldwide. They thanked fans for their patience and support while confirming that the film will now release in theatres across the globe on June 4, 2026.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups features Yash in the lead role alongside a strong ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. The film is written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas. It has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, reflecting the film’s pan-India and international appeal.
Produced by KVN Productions in association with Monster Mind Creations, the film has already generated significant buzz among fans and film industry circles. With its release now shifted to June 4, 2026, the makers are expected to restart promotional activities closer to the new release date.
