The makers of the upcoming fantasy entertainer Rākāsā have released the film’s first single titled “Rapappa,” giving audiences a lively and entertaining glimpse into the movie’s musical world. The song blends heartbreak with humour, creating a playful and energetic track that is already drawing attention online.
Sung by Ram Miriyala, composed by Anudeep Dev and written by lyricist Raghuram, the song was released as a lyrical video. The track stands out for its witty tone and rhythmic wordplay, turning the theme of heartbreak into a humorous and engaging musical narrative. Instead of presenting sadness in a serious way, the lyrics add a light and comic flavour to the situation, making the song both relatable and entertaining.
The lyrics feature clever rhymes and playful punchlines that flow smoothly with the upbeat music. The repeated hook “Rapappa… Rapappa…” acts as a catchy refrain, making the song instantly memorable for listeners. Ram Miriyala’s unique vocal style further enhances the mood of the track, adding a mix of frustration, sarcasm and charm that fits perfectly with the song’s humorous take on heartbreak.
The song’s visual presentation also gains energy through choreography designed by JD Master, adding a lively performance element that complements the playful tone of the music.
The release of “Rapappa” comes at a time when excitement around Rākāsā is steadily growing. The film’s title glimpse has already crossed 1.9 million views online, while the recently released teaser has generated strong engagement and crossed 2.7 million views within just five days. The project is produced by Niharika Konidela under the banner of Pink Elephant Pictures and presented by Z Studios, with Umesh Kumar Bansal serving as producer.
On the technical side, cinematography is handled by Raju Edurolu while editing is done by Anwar Ali. The film aims to combine elements of folklore-inspired fantasy, supernatural adventure and humour to create a visually engaging cinematic experience.
The film is also preparing for a large international release. Overseas distribution will be managed by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures, which plans to release the movie in more than 350 theatres across major territories including the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and Australia.
