The film is jointly produced by Hyma Rajasekhar, Shweta Mahi and Nirosha Naveen under the banners of Brihaspati Entertainments, Apparently Cinema and Story Factory. Sunstudio has partnered with UFO to release the movie in theatres. Directed by the duo Arjun and Carthyk Sreerama Chandra, the film features Manchu Lakshmi, Sriram Chandra, Ananya Nagalla, Hariteja, Hema, Supritha Naidu and Shraddha Das in key roles, along with Harshavardhan and Bhadram in supporting characters.
The trailer of Lechindi Mahilalokam was launched at Prasad Lab in Hyderabad on Monday in the presence of the cast and crew. The film revolves around the everyday life of a newly married couple who frequently argue over small issues. The situation becomes more complicated when neighbours interfere and fuel the conflicts, leading to a chain of hilarious and unexpected developments. While the story contains thrilling moments, it largely focuses on comedy and entertainment, making it a complete family entertainer.
Speaking at the trailer launch event, the producers said that the film industry is a new journey for them and this movie marks their first attempt in filmmaking. They expressed happiness that their debut project turned out well and hoped that audiences would watch the film in theatres and support them so they can continue bringing more good stories to the big screen.
Director Arjun said the film turned out exactly as they envisioned because of the dedication and hard work of the entire team. He added that every actor and technician contributed wholeheartedly, which helped them achieve the desired output. According to him, the movie is a fun-filled entertainer that will appeal to all sections of the audience.
Co-director Carthyk Sreerama Chandra described the film as a “fun riot” and thanked the cast and crew for their strong support during the making. He said that anyone who watches the trailer will be curious to see the full movie, and he believes audiences will thoroughly enjoy the film in theatres when it releases on March 26.
AP and Telangana UFO Vice President Laxman also spoke at the event, stating that he watched the film and liked its story and entertainment value. He said the movie has the potential to connect well with audiences, which encouraged him to come forward to support its theatrical release.
Actress Hariteja said the trailer itself reflects the lively and entertaining vibe of the film. She revealed that the team had a lot of fun while shooting and added that the story begins with a small incident but gradually turns into a very engaging narrative filled with humour.
Manchu Lakshmi shared that although the film is relatively small in scale, it feels like a big achievement because the team has created a wonderful entertainer. She said she was particularly excited about the comedy in the film and noted that several changes were made during the filmmaking process to improve the flow of the narrative. She urged audiences to watch the movie purely as entertainment.
Addressing some of the promotional elements, Manchu Lakshmi clarified that certain visuals used in promotions, such as the blue drum, do not indicate anything related to crime in the story. She stressed that Lechindi Mahilalokam is not a film that encourages wrongdoing or violence but a comedy film designed to make audiences laugh. She also expressed hope that the producers would earn double their investment through the film’s success.
Singer and actor Sriram Chandra said he was happy to be part of the project and wished all women on the occasion of Women’s Day. He described the film’s story as fresh and relatable.
