Ranveer Singh is ready to take the box office by storm again. Aditya Dhar’s highly anticipated spy thriller, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2), hits theatres on March 19 across five languages, and the early numbers are already breaking records.
Special paid premieres begin tomorrow evening in India and overseas. Thanks to the massive hype, advance ticket sales are off the charts. Trade reports show the film has already sold over 1.5 million tickets for the opening weekend. Tomorrow’s paid premieres alone have pulled in Rs 37.11 crore, while advance bookings for the official day-one shows on March 19 currently stand at Rs 22.70 crore. Combined, the movie has already collected around Rs 60 crore in India even before a single show has started.
Midnight Shows and Overseas Records
The craze is so intense that theatre owners in cities like Mumbai are planning 2 AM shows for the opening day just to handle the crowds. Internationally, the film is giving heavyweights like Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas a run for their money. It recently pulled in an impressive $4 million in North American pre-sales for the opening weekend.
A lot of this momentum comes from the massive success of the first film. Released in 2025, Dhurandhar grossed a staggering Rs 1300 crore globally, turning Ranveer’s intense performance as undercover Indian agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi into a massive fan favorite. This time, the stakes are higher. The sequel brings in heavy hitters like R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal to build out the rivalry.
Clocking in at a massive runtime of nearly 3 hours and 50 minutes, this action epic promises to keep fans on the edge of their seats. If the early premieres generate positive word of mouth tomorrow, Dhurandhar 2 is easily on track to set a new benchmark at the Indian box office. The post Midnight Shows, 1.5 Million Tickets & Rs 60 Crore: Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 Sets the Box Office on Fire Before Release first appeared on Latest Telugu cinema news | Movie reviews | OTT Updates, OTT.
