Actor-producer Kiran Abbavaram is backing a unique rural suspense drama titled Thimmarajupalli TV, which is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on April 17. The film is produced under KA Productions in association with Sumaera Studios, with Teja Velpucharla as co-producer.
Directed, written, and edited by debutant V. Muniraju, the film introduces Sai Tej and Veda Jalandhar as the lead pair. Set in a 1990s village backdrop, Thimmarajupalli TV promises a refreshing mix of nostalgia, emotion, and suspense-driven storytelling. The concept revolves around a time when a single television would bring an entire village together, creating a shared cultural and emotional experience.
A grand reveal event was recently held in Hyderabad, where the team expressed strong confidence in the film’s content and its ability to connect with audiences. Speaking at the event, Kiran Abbavaram described the film as an honest attempt inspired by real-life incidents from the 1990s. He emphasized that instead of following a typical commercial formula, the film focuses on innocence, relationships, and genuine human emotions. He also highlighted that the project features mostly new talent and requested audiences to support the film by watching it in theatres with their families.
Director V. Muniraju thanked the producer for trusting him with the project and stated that the film reflects real village life with emotional depth and subtle suspense elements that will keep viewers engaged. Lead actor Sai Tej shared his journey from working as an assistant cameraman to landing the lead role, calling it a dream come true made possible by the support of Kiran Abbavaram.
The makers revealed that a majority of the cast and crew are fresh faces, bringing authenticity and realism to the narrative. The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Akshay Ram Podishetti, music composer Vamsikanth Rekhana, and art director Sudheer Macharla, whose work is expected to enhance the film’s visual and emotional appeal.
