Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s much-anticipated sports action drama Peddi is shaping up to be a remarkable achievement- one that many would consider nearly impossible. Credit largely goes to director Buchi Babu Sana, who has handled the film’s scale and complexity with striking clarity and control, especially for just his second outing.
Following the blockbuster success of Uppena, Buchi Babu Sana was determined to take a bigger leap. He found the perfect collaborator in Ram Charan, whose pan-India appeal and screen presence suit the film’s expansive narrative and high-stakes storytelling.
What makes Peddi stand out is not just its scale, but the pace at which it has progressed. While big-star films typically stretch over long production timelines, this project is nearing completion in close to a year, a wonderful feat for a film of this magnitude.
Even as the shoot nears completion, post-production is moving swiftly without any compromise on quality. Erecting grand sets could have easily slowed things down, but Peddi moved ahead at a steady pace without major interruptions. Interestingly, many films that began before or around the same time as Peddi have struggled to complete even 40–50% of their shoot, largely due to delays, re-shoots, and other reasons.
Ram Charan’s hard work and dedication have been equally instrumental. The actor devoted his entire schedule to the film, avoiding other projects and undergoing significant physical and stylistic transformations to bring authenticity to his role.
Backed by producer Venkata Satish Kilaru on a grand budget, Peddi is now gearing up for a theatrical release this June, carrying strong expectations and curiosity. In fact, the glimpses and songs received overwhelming response.
