Team India dominated the opening day’s play of the first Test vs the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday. After bundling out West Indies for 162, the home team ended first day at 121 for 2 with opener KL Rahul and skipper Shubman Gill unbeaten on 53 and 18 respectively.
Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the Indian bowlers claiming 4/40 while record-breaking Jasprit Bumrah snapped up 3/42. Kuldeep Yadav, playing his first Test after more than a year, claimed 2/25.
