On Saturday, HMWSSB Managing Director K Ashok Reddy visited the project and directed officials concerned to start the work of a master balancing reservoir with a capacity of 80 MLD and water treatment plants at Ghanpur on the land belonging to the water board.
Hyderabad water board is already supplying 10 TMC of Godavari water under Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme Phase-1, from Yellampalli, and under phase-2&3, works will be started to supply another 20 TMC of water from the Mallanna Sagar reservoir, according to an official statement.
