Siddipet: SM Vijay Kumar, a 2012 batch IPS officer, assumed charge as Commissioner of Police on Monday. Prior to his appointment here, he had served as Deputy Commissioner of West Zone in Hyderabad Commissionerate.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner urged Siddipet police to work as a team and remain accessible to the public round the clock. Additional DCP Kushalkar, AR Additional DCP Subhash Chandra Bose, and other police officials congratulated him on the occasion.
Later, the Commissioner called on district collector K Hymavathi at her office.
