NABARD’s national expo opens with GI pavilion in Ameerpet

Hyderabad: The Telangana Regional Office of NABARD inaugurated the 12th edition of the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav at Kamma Sangham in Ameerpet on Wednesday.
The eight-day national exhibition was inaugurated by Harichandana Dasari, Collector and District Magistrate, Hyderabad, who also opened a special Geographical Indication (GI) Pavilion.
Featuring 53 stalls and 44 unique products from artisans, weavers, and Self-Help Groups across India, the event aims to promote rural livelihoods and connect traditional craftsmanship with wider markets.
Harichandana appreciated NABARD’s efforts in empowering rural talent and suggested introducing a “Grameen Tag” to certify genuine artisans. NABARD officials reiterated the institution’s commitment to supporting rural enterprises through skill development, financial assistance, and marketing initiatives
