Congress has officially announced Naveen Yadav as its candidate for the Jubilee Hills by-election. Naveen has been campaigning in the constituency for the past few days. The party leadership, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, supported his candidature from the start, and the high command has now approved it.
Naveen Yadav comes from a locally influential family. His father, Chinna Srisailam Yadav, is well-known in Jubilee Hills and has significant influence in the community, including among Muslim voters. Naveen had earlier contested elections with Majlis and finished in second place in 2014, losing by a narrow margin to TDP candidate Gopinath. He later ran as an independent due to disagreements over tickets but eventually joined Congress before the upcoming elections.
With his personal influence and the family’s strong presence in the area, Congress believes Naveen Yadav has a strong chance of winning the Jubilee Hills seat.
