Four people are dead after a violent series of shootings that began with a suspected road rage incident in Sugar Land and ended with the gunman’s death in Houston, police said.According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), the incident started around 12.30 pm near 12900 Dairy Ashford and US 90, where the suspect allegedly shot and killed a woman after what appeared to be a road rage confrontation, as per HPM report.Details Of Shooting IncidentAfter the first shooting, the man reportedly drove to a mechanic shop in Southwest Houston, located near 13400 Fondren Road. There, he allegedly shot and killed two men before driving several blocks away to the 8000 block of Creekbend Drive, where he died from what police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.Houston Police Lt Larry Crowson said at a press briefing that the investigation is ongoing, but there is no current threat to the public. “There are homicide investigators en route to the scene, they’ll start talking to the witnesses here,” Crowson said. “Sugar Land is conducting their investigation on their homicide down there. Hopefully, they’ll get more information on that,” Crowson added. What Police SaidCrowson said that Sugar Land police had alerted HPD to be on the lookout for a silver Ford Escape following the first shooting. It remains unclear why the suspect went to the mechanic shop, though police said one of the men there may have been shot while trying to record the suspect on his phone. As of Wednesday afternoon, authorities had not released the identities of the victims or the suspect. Both Sugar Land and Houston police are continuing their investigations into the string of shootings.
