However, eyewitness Josh Thomas, who filmed the incident, said Brockman was already on the ground when he arrived and heard agents accusing her of “obstruction,” which she denied.Tensions were high as onlookers shouted at the agents, calling them “fascists” and “Nazis,” while honking car horns and hurling verbal abuse. The van carrying Brockman reportedly collided with another vehicle as it sped away.WGN-TV issued a brief statement: “WGN is aware of this situation, and we are actively gathering the facts related to it.”DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin claimed the agents were responding to “violent agitators” and said the use of force was in response to a “growing and dangerous trend” of resistance during enforcement operations.
