Aaya Sher from Nani’s The Paradise is among the biggest hits of the year, garnering over 50 million views within a quick time. The song is currently dominating Instagram Reels. To bring the vision to life, the makers built a grand slum empire set in accordance with the film’s theme, which is that the hero is the emperor of the slums.
The striking scale and authenticity seen in the song largely stem from the elaborate sets designed by the film’s art department. Every structure was carefully planned to balance cinematic grandeur with a raw, realistic look that blends naturally with the environment.
One of the most prominent setups created for the song is the Hero House (Kaman Set). Built specifically for the hero’s powerful dip moment, the structure measures 60 ft in width, 45 ft in height, and 25 ft in depth. Interestingly, the set was originally planned with a 30 ft width, but the team later decided to expand it by 15 ft on both sides, ultimately doubling its size to achieve a more imposing visual impact.
Constructing this massive structure required the efforts of around 25 workers, who spent nearly 20 days completing it. To ensure the set looked naturally integrated with its surroundings, the team used special aging techniques that added realistic textures and a weathered appearance.
Another visually memorable element in the song is a giant biryani bowl–inspired structure. Designed with a copper finish and an aged texture, the setup was created to give a rustic and authentic feel. The structure measures 10 ft in width, with a 20 ft radius and 6 ft height, and was completed in just five days by a small team of five to seven members.
Adding further depth to the visuals is the expansive Water Body Village Set, which covers nearly 2.5 acres. Instead of temporary facades, the production team constructed 60 fully functional houses to create a realistic village atmosphere. Nearly 50 workers spent 30 days building the set, which was designed to accommodate around 500 people at a time.
To form the water body within the village, the team brought in 100 tankers of water, a process that took about seven days to complete. Additionally, a 20 ft × 20 ft pond with a depth of 20 ft was built to store water for the setup.
The film’s production also built a large dump yard set, measuring 120 ft in length, 50 ft in width, and 30 ft in height. A 25-member crew worked for 30 days to complete the structure, which was carefully designed to replicate the look and feel of a real dump yard with an organic, lived-in appearance.
Despite the scale of these constructions, the sets were created with minimal impact on the natural surroundings. The art department ensured that each structure blended seamlessly with the landscape by using natural textures and detailed aging techniques.
All the sets were meticulously planned to ensure both creative precision and smooth execution. Construction began only after the team secured the necessary approvals.
The result is the immersive visual world that audiences experienced in “Aaya Sher,” offering a glimpse into the grand and gritty universe that “The Paradise” aims to showcase on the big screen. The movie directed by Srikanth Odela will hit the big screens on August 21, 2026.The post Aaya Sher from The Paradise: The story behind massive sets that brought the song to life first appeared on Latest Telugu cinema news | Movie reviews | OTT Updates, OTT.
