Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist of the rock band KISS, died at 74 following injuries suffered during a fall last month. “We are completely devastated and heartbroken. He played with the band from 1973 to 1982 before leaving amid creative differences and substance abuse issues. He later formed his own band, Frehley’s Comet, which performed between 1984 and 1988, and rejoined KISS for their 1996 reunion tour, staying until 2002. Frehley co-wrote and performed on many of KISS’s best-known songs, including Rock and Roll All Nite, Detroit Rock City, and I Was Made for Lovin’ You. His solo career is remembered for hits such as Back in the New York Groove and Into the Night. What is Brain Bleed? According to the sources, Frehley suffered a brain bleed when he took a fall in his studio a couple weeks ago, forcing him to cancel his upcoming tour dates.
