Paul Daniel “Ace” Frehley, the co-founder and original lead guitarist of the rock band Kiss, has died following injuries sustained in a fall last month, his family has confirmed. He was 74. In a statement, Frehley’s family said: “We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever.” What Do We Know About Ace Frehley’s Family? Frehley married Jeanette Trerotola on 1 May 1976, and the couple had a daughter, Monique, born on 6 July 1980. Trerotola, an Italian-American actress, was born on 21 June 1952. Monique, who is also a musician, occasionally appeared publicly with her father. In 2023, the pair got matching “Ace” tattoos. Frehley often shared moments with his daughter on social media, including a 2019 Facebook post showing them together. Born in the Bronx, New York City, Frehley came from a musical family. He received his first electric guitar as a Christmas gift in 1964 and taught himself to play. Inspired by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and the Who, he began performing in local bands as a teenager. His nickname “Ace” reportedly came from friends, who joked about his talent for arranging dates.
