“Award Should Have Gone to My Director”: Sivaji at Dhandoraa Meet

The team of Dhandoraa held a Thank You Meet after the film won three honours at the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards, marking another milestone for the socially driven Telugu film. The event brought together the cast and crew, who shared their experiences and expressed gratitude for the recognition the film has received from audiences, the government, and the media.
Director Muralikanth Devasoth thanked the Telangana Government and the jury for encouraging meaningful cinema. He said the film’s biggest reward was the response from people who felt represented by its story. The director also praised actor Sivaji for his dedication, calling him the backbone of the film’s production.
Actor Sivaji, who received one of the awards, spoke with humility and said he wished the award had gone to the director instead of him. He credited the entire team for the film’s success and thanked Jr. NTR for supporting the film through social media. Sivaji also revealed that he sacrificed proper sleep during the shoot to maintain the tired look required for his character.
Music director Mark K Robin said receiving an award named after legendary singer Gaddar was a great honour. Producer Benny Muppaneni described Dhandoraa as a true teamwork film and thanked the government, jury, and media for their support.
With its powerful story and strong performances, Dhandoraa has grown into one of the most talked-about socially driven Telugu films in recent times, gaining wider appreciation after its theatrical run and streaming release on Amazon Prime Video.
