Big Relief for Team Jana Nayagan

The shoot of Vijay’s last film Jana Nayagan was completed in 2025 and the team planned a grand release across the globe in January 2026. But the film’s release was stalled because of the censor hurdles. Three months have passed and there is no official word from the makers. The film was sent to the Revising Committee of the censor board and the screening was held recently. The film has now cleared the Revising Committee screening and the censor certificate will be issued very soon. This is a huge relief for the team of Jana Nayagan.
The makers have removed the controversial content which was objected by the officials of the Censor Board. With the Model Code of Conduct in force for the Tamil Nadu elections, the Election Commission has to approve the film’s release. Reports say that the film will now release after the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The makers will make an official announcement about the new release date after the censor certificate is issued. Jana Nayagan is directed by H Vinoth and the film features Vijay, Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. KVN Productions are the producers.
