Buzz: Versatile actor playing a key role in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2

Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy with the shoot of his much-anticipated sequel, Jailer 2. The first part was a humongous blockbuster at the ticket windows, earning over Rs. 600 crores gross globally. Nelson Dilipkumar is the director of this franchise.
According to the latest buzz in Kollywood circles, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in for a pivotal role for the second part. It is said that the team is currently filming Vijay Sethupathi’s scenes in Goa. Earlier, Thalaivar and Sethupathi shared screen space in Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
An official confirmation about the Maharaja actor’s inclusion is yet to be made. The makers are planning to release the film on June 12 2026. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan and popular actor Santhanam are also reportedly part of Jailer 2. Produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures, the big-ticket entertainer features music by Anirudh Ravichander.
