Dacoit: Action Is the Shell, Love Is the Core: Sesh

Adivi Sesh, after delivering a series of blockbusters, is aiming for an even bigger success with his upcoming Pan-India film Dacoit, releasing in theatres on April 10th.
In an exclusive interview with us, the actor shared that distributors who watched the movie gave highly positive feedback, even thanking the team for making such a strong film.
Sesh reveals the basic plotline: “Bullets, guns, railway tracks, heat, wind, dust, blood- and in the middle of all this, the emotions between two people. How they look at each other, what they feel for each other- is it love or hatred? A 13-year-old score between them, and how it finally explodes.”
He further adds, “Action is just the shell, while love is the core of Dacoit. We narrated the love story through an action-cinema format. People will enjoy the love story even more than the action. This is a film you’ll enjoy watching with your friends, sister, girlfriend, or wife, because even though the story is rough, there’s a sweetness running underneath.”
Sesh affirms that Dacoit blends Telugu and Hindi cultures seamlessly, and it will feel original in both languages. “We wanted to portray both cultures beautifully, which is why we chose to shoot the film in two languages, and picked artists who are familiar to Telugu and Hindi audiances.”
Speaking about director Shaneil Deo, he says, “He is my best friend from the USA. He worked as the cameraman for Kshanam and Goodachari. Later, he made a short film, Layla, which won Best Short Film at the Cannes Film Festival. The story impressed people so much that a German production house offered one lakh euros to develop it into a feature film.”
Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, the film’s trailer was unveiled today to an instantly humongous response.
