Election Commission to decide Jana Nayagan’s Fate

There is no clarity about the censor clearance and the release plans of Vijay’s film Jana Nayagan which is delayed by three months. The makers have invested big money and the interests are mounting on a regular basis. There are different speculations about the Revising Committee watching the film. Some say that the screening was completed and some others say that it is delayed. As per the latest development, Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik has clarified that the Election Commission of India (ECI) will examine the matter and the final decision will be taken.
The Election Commission of India will take the final decision about the film’s censor clearance. The Model Code of Conduct is in force because of the Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu. The elections will take place on April 23rd. If the censor hurdles are cleared, the makers will release the film on May 8th across the globe. Jana Nayagan is directed by H Vinoth and the film features Vijay, Pooja Hegde and Mamita Baiju in the lead roles. KVN Productions are the producers.
