An aircraft has reportedly crashed in the Forth Worth area of Texas’s Tarrant County and is on fire. The aircraft crashed on Sunday near the Hicks airfield, leading to multiple trailers also catching fire. According to DFW Scanner, Saginaw Fire Department is responding to the incident. Heavy black smoke was visible in the area and multiple ambulances have been rushed to the spot.The crash happened in the 12000 block of N. Saginaw Blvd, near Avondale. Hicks Airfield is located north of Fort Worth in unincorporated Tarrant County, Texas.An extensive water supply was reportedly set up by multiple responding fire crews as they worked to tackle the blaze. The Fort Worth Fire Department told CBS News it had gotten the blaze under control.Multiple reports stated that the tractor-trailers that caught fire were parked in a lot behind a fence. One of the videos also showed smoke rising from one of the cabs. None of them appeared to have trailers. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the plane that crashed was a small, single-engine Cirrus SR-22 aircraft. It wasn’t clear how many passengers were on board when it went down, nor why it went down in the first place. The FAA and NTSB have both reportedly been notified and are looking into the crash. The Mirror US contacted the Fort Worth Fire Department for additional information.In February this year, a small plane had crashed in Azle, just west of Fort Worth, Texas. The aircraft went down in the 4000 block of Silverview Lane in an unincorporated area of Tarrant County near Azle. The aircraft then caught fire. Two people were aboard the plane at the time of the crash.
