GEG 2026 World Finals Mumbai: Group Brackets Are Over

In the Dota 2 competition, Team India showcased dominant gameplay during the group stage, securing back-to-back wins against Australia and Ghana to finish at the top of their group standings with six points. In the parallel group, Türkiye maintained an unbeaten record, winning all three of their matches against Mongolia, South Africa, and Argentina to secure the leading position. These results ensured qualification for the next stage, highlighting the strong form of both teams heading into the decisive rounds.

In the upper bracket round 1 India lost to Mongolia with a scoreline 2-0 and dropped down to lower bracket where they will face Australia in a do or die clash on the final day.

In the Clash Royale competition, several closely contested matches unfolded during the playoff rounds. Team Senegal emerged victorious against Cuba with a 2–1 scoreline in the opening winners bracket round and continued their winning momentum by defeating Benin in the subsequent round. 

Team India also delivered an impressive performance in Clash Royale, defeating Kyrgyzstan 2–1 in the first round and following it up with another win against Indonesia by the same margin to advance further in the tournament. Additional victories were recorded by Kazakhstan, who defeated Hungary 2–0, and Peru, who secured a 2–0 win over Portugal, while upcoming fixtures include key matchups involving Tunisia, USA, and other qualified teams.

Late in the day Team India took on Kazakhstan in the upper bracket finals for a place in the grand finals. After a close game, Kazakhstan came out on top and booked their place in the finals with India moving down to the lower bracket finals. They will face the winner of the lower bracket round 5 game between USA and Portugal. These four nations will now be fighting on the final day for the medals.

With the competition reaching its final stages, the concluding day of the Global Esports Games Mumbai 2026 will feature top-performing nations including India, Kazakhstan, Australia, and Turkey, among others, as they battle for the prestigious championship title.
