Hyderabad: Authorities of the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) and Hyderabad district have cancelled Prajavani, a programme organised every Monday to receive grievances from petitioners, in the wake of upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election.
“The Prajavani programme held every Monday at the Hyderabad Collectorate is temporarily cancelled,” announced Hyderabad District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari.
The election notification is set to be released on 13 October, with polling on 11 November and results on 14 November. The Prajavani programme will resume as usual after the announcement of election results.
Meanwhile, the GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan said in an official release that, in view of the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, the Prajavani scheduled for 13 October at the GHMC headquarters is suspended.
