Hyderabad, Telangana – A special medical camp for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) workers, employees, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) was inaugurated on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Krishna Kanth Park in Yousufguda. The initiative, aimed at ensuring the health and well-being of those serving the city, saw a large turnout for check-ups and screenings.
District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurated the camp, accompanied by Hyderabad District Collector Dasari Harichandana, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, and GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan. During the event, Minister Prabhakar also distributed health kits to the GHMC workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that similar health camps would be organized across all areas of Hyderabad under the auspices of the GHMC. He highlighted that these camps were established on the directives of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, designed to enable citizens to undergo essential medical tests without the need to visit a hospital.
The camps are a collaborative effort, coordinating the resources of district revenue, municipal, and medical staff to provide accessible healthcare to the city’s frontline workers
