Rome: Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni-led Italy government has proposed a nationwide ban on burqa and niqab in public spaces. These provisions have been proposed in a new bill to tackle “Islamic and cultural separatism.”According to the draft bill, violations could result in fines ranging from £300 to £3,000.The draft law also mandates mosque funding transparency and restricts foreign donations to religious bodies.
