HMWSSB announces 36-hour water supply shutdown in parts of Hyderabad from Oct 13

Hyderabad: Residents in several parts of Hyderabad will face disruption in drinking water supply for 36 hours starting Monday morning, as the HMWSSB takes up major repair works on the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project (KDWSP) Phase–III pipeline.
Repair work on Krishna Water Pipeline
A major leakage has been detected on the 2375 mm dia main pumping pipeline that carries Krishna water from Kodandapur to Godakondla, which supplies a large part of the city.
To rectify the problem, the Water Board will undertake extensive maintenance, including replacement of air valves, gate valves, and other non-functional components along the stretch.
The repair activity will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, October 13, and continue till 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, spanning 36 hours.
Areas likely to face water supply interruption
Water supply will remain affected in areas covered under the KDWSP Phase–III Ring Main–1 network. The affected localities include:
Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, Ayyappa Society, Kavuri Hills
Prashasan Nagar, Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Tatti Khana, Bhojagutta, Shaikpet, Hakimpet, Karwan, Mehdipatnam, Asifnagar, Golconda, Langer Houz
Durga Nagar, Budvel, Suleman Nagar, Golden Heights, 9th Number, Kismathpur, Gandhanguda, Bandlaguda, Shastripuram, Allabanda, Madhuban, Dharmasai (Shamshabad)
Saheb Nagar, Auto Nagar, Saroor Nagar, Vasavi Nagar, Nagole, NTR Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Devender Nagar, Uppal

Advisory to Consumers
The HMWSSB has appealed to residents in the affected areas to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the interruption period. The Board also assured that normal water supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the maintenance work.
