Hyderabad: Parties intensify efforts to woo rival cadres in Jubilee Hills ahead of polling

Hyderabad: The campaign for the Jubilee Hills by-election started to gain pace towards the weekend, with candidates stepping up their campaign and accompanied by supporters, seeking to reach out to the voters.
On Saturday, BRS MLAs Malla Reddy, D Sudhir Reddy, former Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, and other senior leaders campaigned at KBR Park and interacted with the morning walkers and sought their support for Maganti Sunitha.
Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, accompanied by party workers, today carried out his campaign in the areas of Madhuranagar. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has been frequently visiting the Jubilee Hills constituency and interacting with the voters seeking to shore up support for the BJP.
Meanwhile, the first phase of training for the presiding officers, assistant presiding officers and other polling officers was held today at Banjara Bhavan in Banjara Hills. District Election Officer RV Karnan asked the officials to have a complete understanding of duties and responsibilities to ensure impartial and transparent polling.
48 nominations received:
On the sixth day of nominations, a total of 31 candidates filed 48 nominations on Saturday at the Returning Office, Shaikpet. To date, 94 candidates filed 127 nominations for the Jubilee Hills assembly by-elections, according to an official release.
