Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police are inviting applications for 116 temporary Special Police Officer (SPO) positions, offering an opportunity for ex-servicemen, ex-paramilitary forces, and retired police personnel to rejoin the force.
Eligibility and Application Details
To be eligible, ex-servicemen must be under 58 years of age as of August 1, 2025. For ex-paramilitary forces and retired police personnel, the upper age limit is 61 years, provided they have retired within the last two years. All applicants must provide proof of residency in Telangana, with Aadhaar, Voter ID, or a driving license accepted.
Successful candidates will receive an honorarium of Rs 26,000 per month, though it will not include paid leave.

Interested candidates can apply in person at the SPOs Office, CAR Headquarters, Petlaburj, Hyderabad. Please note that phone applications will not be accepted.
Applicants need to bring the following documents (originals and one set of photocopies):
- Discharge/retirement certificate
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- Technical Trade certificate (if applicable)
- Valid driving license (for driver posts)
- Three passport-size photographs
