The exhibitors of Telangana single screens have been trying hard to shift to a percentage basis model. With fewer single screens left, the survival of them is the need of the hour. A total number of 23 single screens located in and around Hyderabad will be working on Percentage basis model starting from tomorrow. All the distributors of Nizam excluding Mythri Film Distributors have agreed to the proposal. The distributors will get 60 percent share from the Nett in the first week, 50 percent share in the second week and 40 percent share in the third week.
This is a good move for the survival of the single screens in the state. Soon, several single screens in the Telugu states will implement this model. Earlier to this, the distributors have been paying rents to the exhibitors of the single screens. This has been impacting both the parties. The new system will be implemented from Sharwanand’s Biker and Sangeeth Sobhan’s Rakasa. Both these films are releasing tomorrow across the globe.
