Hyderabad: ‘TREES 2025’ conference on green, smart mobility kicks off at VNR VJIET

Hyderabad: A two-day conference ‘Transportation Research Efforts for Ecological Sustainability-TREES 2025’, featuring researchers, innovators and key stakeholders, to discuss sustainability transportation solutions, was inaugurated at VNR Vignana Jyothi Engineering and Technology (VNR VJIET) campus in Hyderabad on Friday.
Organised by VNR VJIET in collaboration with CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), the theme of the conference centred around ‘Green, Smart and Resilient Mobility’, a press release said.
Researchers from premier institutions such as IITs, NITs, CSIR labs among others are presenting papers in key areas of sustainable materials, autonomous and electric mobility, GIS applications and climate-resilient smart cities. The event also features poster presentations, a tech showcase pavilion, a cultural evening and the prestigious Green Mobility Awards.
“TREES 2025 conference is demonstrating how cutting-edge research and inter-institutional collaboration are driving real world applications that make cities cleaner, safer and more efficient,” said DVS Raju, IRSEE, CEI, Government of India, HMRP, who was the chief guest for the inaugural function of the conference.
Dr Kavitha Ravinder, Chief Scientist and Head (ILT)CSIR-CRRI; Dr A Ramesh, Organising Secretary, CED, VNR VJIET, along with top researchers and scientists from CSIR affiliated laboratories and students were present.
