South Africa Women jumped to the top spot of the Women’s World Cup 2025 Points Table with a massive 150-run win on the DLS method over Pakistan in Colombo, maintaining a five-match winning streak. While rain interrupted most of the match, there was a result. After rain curtailed the first innings to 40 overs, South Africa posted a mammoth 312/9. Rain continued to interrupt the match in the 2nd innings, reducing it to 20 overs. But Pakistan could only manage 83/7 after they received a revised target of 234 in 20 overs. England are second with 9 points. Australia are 3rd with as many points but missed out on the 3rd spot due to an inferior net run rate. India are 4th with 4 points, ahead of New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
England became the third team to qualify for the Women’s World Cup 2025 semifinals after their narrow 4-run win over India. With England sealing the spot, it’s a two-way race between India and New Zealand. They will battle it out for the last spot on Thursday.
The Australian team became the first to qualify for the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 semifinals.
Three Asian teams — Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan — occupy the bottom three spots. Bangladesh and Pakistan are the only teams to be officially knocked out. Sri Lanka still have a slim chance to qualify if things go their way.

The Women’s World Cup 2025 format sees 8 teams face other once in a round robin format. Qualification is rather straight forward- Top 4 after the league stage make it to the semifinals. Each win counts for 2 points, while a tie or a rain abandoned match would see points shared one apiece. In case of equal points, NRR will be the differentiator.
