The injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the incident occurred during a “targeted traffic enforcement stop,” which it described as part of a standard law enforcement procedure. The US Marshals Service confirmed the injured officer is a deputy with its agency, and DHS stated the officer was in stable condition. The FBI’s Los Angeles field office is leading the investigation into the shooting.
