Hosts India declared their innings at a commanding 518 for five before reducing West Indies to 140 for four by stumps on Day 2 of the second Test on saturday.
Spinners dominated the balling attack as Ravindra Jadeja picked three-wicket haul and concede 37 runs, while Kuldeep grabbed 1 wicket for 45 runs, triggering a West Indies top-order collapse.
The duo claimed four wickets between them, leaving West Indies trailing India by 378 runs, with Shai Hope (31 not out) and Tevin Imlach (14 not out) at the crease at stumps.
Earlier, India had declared their first innings at 518 for five. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 175 off 258 balls and captain Shubman Gill’s undefeated 129 off 196 balls boosted the India’a innings.
