A massive two-alarm fire broke out Friday morning at a commercial building in Inglewood, sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky and prompting a large emergency response from Los Angeles County firefighters. Firefighters arriving at the scene found heavy flames and smoke pouring from the one-story commercial structure.Within minutes, the blaze was upgraded to a second alarm, bringing additional firefighting units and equipment due to the severity of the fire. Crews worked aggressively from the roof and surrounding areas before being forced into defensive operations to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby structures, including a CVS pharmacy and several homes.Officials confirmed that the roof of the building collapsed during the firefight. A mayday call was issued after a firefighter became trapped inside; they were quickly rescued and treated by emergency medical personnel. According to department officials, two firefighters were injured in the incident, one reportedly sustained minor injuries when the roof gave way.
