Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy with the shoot of Jailer 2. Jailer was a monstrous box-office hit, earning over Rs. 600 crores gross worldwide, and the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial marked Rajinikanth’s commercial comeback after a series of failures.
Earlier, speculations suggested that star comedian Santhanam would make his re-entry as a comedian with Jailer 2, and now the actor himself has confirmed that he is indeed part of the biggie. He hasn’t revealed any details about his character though. After 10 years, Santhanam is sharing screen space with Rajini again.
The makers are planning to release the film on June 12, 2026. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar will once again appear in cameo roles.
