Telangana, India – The highly anticipated teaser for RJ Balaji’s upcoming film, Karuppu, was released on July 23, coinciding with lead actor Suriya’s birthday. The film, which also stars Trisha Krishnan, promises an intriguing narrative with Suriya appearing in two distinct avatars, hinting at a blend of action, court drama, and folk mythology.
The teaser for Karuppu opens with a compelling voiceover, setting the tone for a powerful, fierce deity that demands worship rather than mere placation. This narrative quickly introduces Suriya in dual roles. One portrays him as Saravanan, a lawyer dressed in white, who subtly reveals he also operates under an alias. In stark contrast, his other avatar is seen in black, wielding an “aruval” (a type of machete/sickle), exuding a more violent and intense persona.
